Bear Creek
Florist

Ever since the dynamic brother–sister duo Ray Aliment and Janice Tanner started Bear Creek Florist in 1978,  it has become a beloved Redmond floral institution.

Christened as JaRae’s Florist, it turned into the Bear Creek Florist after the Bear Creek River, and the duo has not looked back since. It is currently run by Ray’s daughter, Lisa Aliment, who learned the art of flower design from her aunt, and she credits the success of the business not only to the art of her designs and the hard work of her team, but also to high standards and always a “customers-first” approach. This was cheerfully demonstrated by one of Lisa’s valued team members who shared a lovely anecdote on how much they value their customers. Once, during Valentine's Day, one of their drivers had dressed up as Cupid! Their customers absolutely adored this, and requests came pouring in for them to dress as Cupid every year after that. From having their ads in the 1980s in the Redmond Reporter to partnering with Teleflora online, Bear Creek Florist is a true embodiment of Redmond―where we unify our value for our community, our tenacity for entrepreneurship, and our inception into the Silicon Century.

From the Redmond Reporter:

"About 720 roses. Bear Creek Florist owner Lisa Aliment’s eyes opened wide when she thought of all those roses, many of which she was donating to four Redmond and two Kirkland nursing and senior care facilities on Monday."
